WLAN Connection

Supported Use Cases

WLAN-enabled Edge Devices such as the Plug&Work Box smart offer a hotspot that can be used to connect wirelessly to the Edge Device Status page and Cockpit.

Connect to Edge Device Hotspot

• The SSID is: "WLAN_" followed by the serial number of the box, e.g., "WLAN_3215122s014".

• The password is the serial number of the box entered twice in succession, e.g. "3215122s0143215122s014" (without quotation marks).

Using a USB WLAN Stick

If no WLAN is integrated into the device, a WLAN USB-Stick can be used.

• We support the following Beckhoff devices:

  • CU8210-D001-0101

  • CU8210-D001-0102

• Make sure that you are running an up-to-date OS version (minimum requirement: 25.09.0).

• Turn the Edge Device on and wait until the operation system has booted up (suggested waiting time: one minute).

• Plug in the above-mentioned USB WLAN stick that is appropriate for your region.

• The hotspot will show up.
