Getting started & Authentication
Overview
The symmedia Hub is an invitation-only platform. There is no option for self-registration. Companies can invite their collaborators, and users can invite their colleagues. If you would like to start using the symmedia Hub, please contact us at sales@symmedia.de.
symmedia Hub provides a secure and flexible authentication system that allows users to sign in using different identity providers. Depending on your organization's configuration, you can authenticate with your corporate identity, social login, or local symmedia Hub account.
The available sign-in options are configured by the symmedia Hub consulting team and your organization’s administrator.
Getting Started
New Users | If your company has invited you to the symmedia Hub, you will receive an invitation email.
If your organization uses Single Sign-On (SSO), you will typically authenticate using your company’s identity provider. | Example of an invitation mail. styling and product name might differ depending on your companies settings. |

Available Sign-In Methods
The symmedia Hub supports multiple authentication providers. The available methods depend on your company's settings.
Default Sign-In Options
The following authentication methods are available if your company has no specific settings:
Apple | Users can authenticate using their Apple ID. The Apple ID email address must match the email address invited to the symmedia Hub. |
|
Microsoft | Users can sign in with their Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) or Microsoft account. This is recommended for organizations already using Microsoft identities. |
|
Email & Password
| Create a local symmedia Hub account using your email address and creating a password.
| |
Optional Authentication Providers | Depending on your organization, additional providers may be available. Examples include:
Your administrator decides which providers are available. If you want to add or remove connections or create a customized Enterprise Single Sign-On connection, please contact our consulting team at consulting@symmedia.de. |
Enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO)
Many organizations connect their own Identity Provider to the symmedia Hub.
Supported technologies include:
Microsoft Entra ID
Okta
Keycloak
Ping Identity
OneLogin
OpenID Connect (OIDC)
SAML 2.0
Once configured, users can authenticate with their corporate credentials. Passwords are managed by the organization’s Identity Provider.
No additional symmedia Hub password is required.
If you want to add or remove connections or create a customized Enterprise Single Sign-On connection, please contact our consulting team at consulting@symmedia.de.
Existing Users (Migration)
Users who already had an account before the authentication migration can continue using their existing identity.
Simply select:
Continue with Existing Microsoft Account (old)
This option allows existing users to authenticate using the identity provider that was previously linked to their account.
After signing in successfully, your account will continue to work without requiring a new registration.
This option is intended only for users who already had an account before Aug 18, 2026. Onboarding is no longer possible!
This option will be discontinued by Dec 31, 2026. As soon as your Entra Admin has given consent, please select another option, such as Continue with Microsoft.
Frequently Asked Questions
I cannot see my preferred login option | Your administrator may not have configured your company’s Identity Provider yet. In the meantime, you can continue by creating your own password in the Hub. Contact your organization’s Hub administrator or our consulting@symmedia.de. You can select your preferred login option at a later time. |
|---|---|
I would like to add another social login to my companies log in screen | Please contact our consulting team at consulting@symmedia.de. |
I used to be able to log in with my company's Microsoft account, but now I receive a message stating that admin consent is required. What should I do? | It's most likely that you clicked on the Microsoft button. This workflow requires new admin consent. Please ask your admin for consent by finishing the request. In the meantime, you can log in using Continue with Existing Account. There, you can log in with your company's Microsoft credentials. |
I forgot my password. | If you have a local symmedia Hub account, select Forgot Password on the login page. If you use Microsoft, Google, Apple, or another corporate identity provider, you must reset your password there. |
I received an “Unauthorized” or “Access denied” message. | Possible reasons include:
Double-check that the email address you entered matches the email address that was invited. Try opening the invitation link in a different browser or an incognito tab. Contact your symmedia Hub administrator if the problem persists or contact the symmedia Hub support at https://symmedia.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/1 |
I selected the wrong login method. | Return to the login page and select the correct authentication provider. If you previously authenticated with your corporate account, always continue using that provider. |
Can I use multiple login methods? | Yes, depending on your organization’s configuration. It is common to start with the email/password method as long as the enterprise connection has not been created, and then switch to the enterprise method as soon as it is available. Contact your administrator if you need additional authentication methods. Contact our support if you want to remove a previously used authentication method at https://symmedia.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/1 |
My company uses Single Sign-On. Do I still need a Hub password? | No. When using Enterprise Single Sign-On, your organization’s Identity Provider handles authentication entirely. |
I was using the previous login system. | What should I do? Select Continue with existing connection to access your existing account. After signing in, continue using the same authentication method for future logins, unless your administrator instructs you otherwise. |
