Add and manage Tunnel Configurations
Only the company that is licensed for the machine / asset and is managing the Edge Device can add and manage tunnel configurations.
The required user roles are
Workshop Manager for Operator tenants
Customer Data Manager or Service Technician for Service Provider tenants
Add a new remote tunnel connection by clicking
or edit an existing entry via

Choose a tunnel type (WebVNC, TCP or Data Link) from the Connection Type dropdown list and enter a name for the connection under Tunnel Name (optional) and click on
.
Enter the IP address of your local machine in the field Local IP (optional), for the Data link Tunnel it should be bigger than 10000, to avoid collisions .
Enter the port of your local machine in the field Local Port (optional), here 127.0.0.1 for Data Link Tunnel.
Enter the IP address or DNS name of the target you want to connect to in the field Remote IP or DNS name.
Enter the IP port of the target you want to connect to in the field Remote Port.
If you want to share the configuration with your Service Provider/Operator, check the corresponding checkbox.
If you are the Service Provider of this machine and you don't want to share this configuration, the Operator of the machine can still see it, but not use it.
If you are the Operator of this machine and you don't want to share this configuration, your Service Provider can neither see or use the configuration.
