Asset Detail Page


  • Click on an asset card to open the Asset Detail View:

The Asset Detail View shows the Service Cases and Documents in their own tabs.


Asset Information Panel

Shows the following information:

  • Technology: Technology the asset uses.
  • Model: Model name of the asset.
  • Brand: Brand name of asset.

Edge Device Status Panel

Shows the following information:

  • Online / Offline: Shows if the Edge Device is connected to the Hub network.
  • Edge Device ID: Shows ID of Edge Device and links to respective Edge Device detail page.
  • Device Type: Device type of Edge Device.

Service Contract Panel

Service Contracts for the respective machines are displayed here, along with the following information:

  • Name
  • Validity
  • Validity period

of assigned Service Contract.

These are assigned and maintained by the Service Provider to his customer machines.

Service Contracts can also have an active Follow the Sun feature which allows service support by the Service Provider without regard to geographic location or current time.

Asset Status Panel

The asset status panel on the Asset Detail Page shows if an asset is actively used and if it is shared with a Service Provider.

Asset Status

  • Internal: The asset is active but only used by the own company and not shared by / shared with a Service Provider.
  • Proposed: The asset is active and can be used by the own company. A request for sharing the asset with the Service Provider has been sent but not been accepted yet.
  • Shared: The asset is shared with / by the Service Provider
  • Deactivated: The asset is not active and can not be used for internal processes. The assets is not licensed and billed in this state.

Licensed by

The Licensed by field shows the company name that licensed the Machine/Asset and that has to pay the license subscription. 

Service Provider

This field shows the Service Provider of the Asset. If the field is not displayed, the asset is not under service by a Service Provider. 

 



Deactivate Assets

An Asset can only be deactivated if

  • the asset is licensed by the own company and
  • in the status "internal" or "proposed"
  • and no Edge Device is paired

If any of the three points above mentioned does not apply, a Deactivation by the user is not possible.


  • Select the active asset that is to be deactivated:

  • Click on  on the Asset Status tile and click on .

  • Confirm the deactivation by clicking .

After confirmation, the asset is deactivated and the Asset Status should not be Active.

Deactivated assets are not visible on default on the Asset overview, but Workshop Managers are able to display deactivated assets :

  • Click on the Show inactive assets button on the Asset Overview page:

Users without the Workshop Manager user role are not able to see this button nor deactivated Assets.

Assets that are in the state DEACTIVATED can not be used for Connected Services (e.g pairing Edge Devices, remote access, installation of applications) or Service Case management.

They are not licensed and it is not possible to create / edit Service Cases or install Applications.


Reactivate Assets

  • Select the deactivated asset that is to be reactivated:

  • Click on  on the Asset Status tile and click on .

  • Confirm the deactivation by clicking .

After confirmation, the asset is activated again and the Asset Status should be Internal.

Deactivated Assets can be re-activated by users with the Workshop Manager user role.

  • Navigate to the Asset Overview and display deactivated assets by clicking on the Inactive button.

Active assets that are not under Service at a Service Provider (no customer machine linked) are NOT free or charge. Please check exhibit B of your companies SaaS agreement that usually has been signed while onboarding the tenant to the platform for details.
